The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 2:1. The flag is composed of black, yellow and blue. Yellow symbolizes the beautiful beach of the island country; blue symbolizes the ocean surrounding the island country; black triangle symbolizes the unity of the Bahamas people and the development and utilization of the islands land and sea resources.
